Iran conducted an exercise in warfare during naval maneuvers


Iranian naval forces have conducted an exercise in attack and defense computer in the annual naval maneuvers, said Monday the agency IRNA.

According to Admiral Amir Rastegari against a cyber-defense unit of the Iranian Navy launched an attack against the computer network defense forces to infiltrate the network to introduce viruses. Defensive forces were able to detect and repel the attack.

In recent years, Iran has been the target of several attacks computer Tehran attribute in the United States and Israel against its industrial facilities, including oil and nuclear. In response, the Islamic Republic has developed units cyber-military and civil defense to cope with this new threat.

Exercises Velayat-91 (Supremacy-91) of warships and submarines Iranians held since December 28 in international waters of the Gulf of Oman, the Strait of Hormuz, the northern part of the ocean India, the Gulf of Aden and the Strait Babb-el-Mandeb.


The exercises will continue until 2 January 2013.
